Seeking Bookkeeper
The Greensboro Community Trust is a new nonprofit with a mission to create strong social infrastructure and enhance opportunity through the acquisition, transformation, and sustained management of spaces and places within the greater Greensboro community — and we're looking for a skilled bookkeeper to help us build a solid financial foundation as we grow.
We are entering an exciting phase of development that includes infrastructure and construction projects, and we need someone who can bring both rigor and flexibility to our financial operations.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking an individual with experience in the following areas:
Nonprofit accounting and budgeting (familiarity with fund accounting, Form 990, etc.)
Construction and capital project accounting
Capital campaign tracking and reporting
Grant funding compliance and reporting
General bookkeeping: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, financial statements
About the Role:
This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a community-centered organization doing meaningful work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mission-aligned, and comfortable working in a small but growing nonprofit environment. This is currently being offered as a part-time contract arrangement with the potential to grow with the organization. Proposals for hourly or lump sum services to be received by May 5th, 2026.
Location:
Mostly remote, though occasional in-person activities in the Greensboro, Vermont and surrounding area
If you or someone you know has the experience we're describing and a passion for community development, we'd love to hear from you.
