Lisa Sartorius brings more than 15 years of nonprofit experience as a board member, executive, and development director. She has worked with organizations in Connecticut and Rhode Island to secure funding for educational and healthcare initiatives, partnering with media and policymakers to elevate community needs. In these roles, she has led board recruitment and training efforts and helped transform underperforming nonprofits into stronger, capacity‑building organizations.

Before entering the nonprofit sector, Lisa ran a small photography business and earlier worked in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather in New York, an experience that honed her skills in communication, storytelling, and relationship‑building. She holds an MS in Nonprofit Philanthropy and Leadership, and is especially interested in how thoughtful governance, fundraising, and community partnerships can sustain local projects over the long term.

Lisa’s family has owned homes in Greensboro for three generations, and she grew up spending summers here. She now owns a home on Shadow Lake Road, where she and her neighbors maintain a network of cross‑country ski trails that cross their properties. She is excited to support the Greensboro Community Trust’s work to strengthen the social and economic vitality of the Greater Greensboro community.
